Description: |
| The Adams County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking candidates to volunteer with the Adams County Sheriff's Office Explorer Program. The Explorer program is for young adults between the ages of 15 and 21 years old. |
Duties: |
•Attend monthly business meeting
•Attend monthly training
•Complete 10 hours of community service in assigned areas (Patrol Division, Jail Division, Detective Division, and Records Section)
•Participate/assist in County functions such as, parades, Adams County Fair, banquets, and Color Guard
•Participate in fundraising activity as well as miscellaneous duties at the Sheriff’s Office
•Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders

Qualifications: |
To be considered for an Explorer position, you must be:
-15-21 years of age
-Currently enrolled in school with a minimum 2.0 GPA
-Must not have any felony convictions
Once selected for the position, you will be required to:
-Volunteer 10 hours per month in an assigned area of the Sheriff’s Office
-Aattend two meetings per month
-Attend the Explorer mini-academy within one year of appointment |
