Duties: |
| As an Explorer they are required to attend monthly business meeting and monthly training. They are required to complete 10 hours of community service in assigned areas (Patrol Division, Jail Division, Detective Division, and Records Section). Participate/assist in County functions such as, parades, Adams County Fair, banquets, and Color Guard. Involvement in fundraising activity as well as miscellaneous duties at the Sheriff’s Office. In addition, they are to adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders. |
Qualifications: |
| To be considered for an Explorer position, you must be 15-20 years of age, currently enrolled in school with a minimum 2.0 GPA, no felony convictions, volunteer 10 hours/month in an assigned area of the Sheriff’s Office, attend two meetings per month, attend Explorer mini-academy within one year. |
