Supply Technician for the Adams County Detention Facility
(Part time - 39 Hours a week) |
Duties: |
| Responsible for five separate warehouses for the jail. Ensures receiving, storage and distribution are performed in an efficient and secure manner. Supervises and provides training for three male inmate workers on a daily basis. Delivers supplies to all units of the jail upon schedule and/or request. Makes emergency deliveries as needed. Maintains the inventory of supplies and coordinates the replacement and ordering of such. Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Must understand the security aspect of equipment and supplies. Able to evaluate products for effectiveness and work with the Purchasing Department to recommend type and quantities of supplies for purchase and exercise budgetary control over warehouse operations. Knowledge of OSHA and maintenance of current MSDS product sheets. Reports directly to the Technical Services manager. |
Qualifications: |
| High School diploma or GED. Knowledge of Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures. Ability to follow duty post assignments and procedures. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to research information by utilizing computer, hard copy and complete within establishment time frame. Be self-motivated and detail oriented. Knowledge in general inventory and warehouse procedures, radio procedures, and inmate supervision. 21 years of age. |
