AVP of Sales and Service

Description:

Credit Union of the Rockies is looking for a qualified candidate to fill our AVP of Sales and Service position.  A qualified candidate must have experience managing a sales team in a financial institution with proven sales results.

This positions key role will be to efficiently lead a successful sales team.  In addition to that the qualified candidate will need to ensure all levels of front line staff are giving exceptional member service, be able to travel to all four branches on a consistent and regular basis, be available to provide timely training to staff, as well as ensuring all branches are operating in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.  This position will also create branch marketing and coordinate promotions with marketing materials.

Duties:

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Coach, mentor and motivate a sales team.

• Create and execute a marketing plan individualized for each branch.

• Travel to all four branches regularly.

• Developing and revising Operations and Lending Policies.

• Vendor Management

• Ensure training is completed and up to date at all branches.

• Ability to underwrite consumer loans while keeping risk in check.

Qualifications:

Reasoning ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.

Education: 

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Previously managed a sales team in a Financial Instituition, with proven results a must.
• Minimum of 2-5 years management experience in a Financial Institution.
• 5-7 years of consumer lending and underwriting experience.

Skills and Abilities:  Computer system concepts and methods, data entry retrieval and inquiry using Windows in a network environment, Basic knowledge of a filing system, basic knowledge of the operation of office equipment.

Physical Demands:  Employees are regularly required to talk, hear, use hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Vision Demands:  Employees are regularly required to use close, color and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
