RN Project Manager

Description:

Provide leadership and direction to support assigned project and contract activities by developing effective communication, operations and management strategies. Responsible for oversight and coordination of day to day project activities and development of project and task specific timelines, tools and communications. Leads project staff in achievement of required activities, including devising innovative concepts to present to State. Facilitates regular contact with core partners, such as BirthWait, for contract purposes. Supports other functional areas of the organization as directed and performs other duties as assigned. This position is located in the Little Rock, AR office and reports to the Executive Director, Qsource of Arkansas.

Duties:

• Understand and effectively communicate QofAR mission to Arkansas Stakeholders and serve as a representative of QofAR.
• Proactively develop and define internal and external strategies, structures and processes necessary to meet the demands of contracting agencies and internal customers.
• Ensure understanding and application of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles and ISO processes used by all project staff.
• Responsible for identification, application, monitoring and maintenance of assigned contract activities and outcomes within parameters of contractual deliverables, as set forth by internal customer or contracting agency.
• Responsible for communicating contract deliverables and expectations to project team members.
• Understand and utilize databases and electronic tools to perform project/contract functions and monitor activities pertinent to individual staff, projects, partners and collaborators.
• Serve as spokesperson for QofAR project activity to both internal and external customers.
• Assist in developing partnerships with entities recognized as being integral in meeting QofAR objectives.
• Present progress and updates of activities to Executive Director weekly and as requested.
• Recognize both desirable and undesirable performance/strategy within department and project staff. Develop approaches to cultivate success and restructure undesirable team/staff performance into positive outcomes.
• Responsible for HIPAA compliant, safe, and confidential storage and transmission of information inherent to contract activities.
• Responsible for adherence to all State, HIPAA, and other governmental agency requirements for contracting agents.

Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to work independently and communicate well with team members, health care providers, governmental agencies, and consumers.
• Must be able to obtain and analyze clinical data relative to quality improvement projects; evaluate and understand results of data analysis, and understand and interpret visual representations of data or project application.
• Must be able to concentrate and work under timeframe pressures and deadlines.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Power Point and Word.
• Must be able to operate an IBM compatible PC running under DOS and Windows.
• Must have flexible work habits and the ability to prioritize work activities.
• Must be able to complete all assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Must have excellent public speaking, verbal and written skills.
• Must be able to relate professionally and positively with corporate staff and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must be able to travel both in and out of state.
• Must possess management and team building skills
• Must produce high quality completed work products.


Education and Experience:

• Current Arkansas Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required.
• Minimum five (5) years clinical RN experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred; commensurate experience accepted.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Must have knowledge and experience in Continuous Quality Improvement/ISO, five (5) years experience in CQI preferred.
• Previous public speaking experience desired.
• Experience using basis statistics helpful.
