Description: | Account Manager for a high volume benefits brokerage firm. The person in this position will:
• Communicate employee benefits to Group Administrator and to employees as needed. Conduct employee meetings.
• Provide guidance and advice to client’s human resource departments regarding compliance issues, claims problems, plan design changes, billing issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding legislative issues, i.e. COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
• Maintain current knowledge of vendor products and the administration of products.
• Present renewals to clients as appropriate.
• Develop and/or identify new opportunities through renewal presentations and other client contact.
• Scrub and Submit new cases to carrier.
• Review contracts once approved and issued by carrier.
• Prepare communication materials as needed.
• Follow-up with client once new coverage is in place.
• Client PR

| Qualifications: | Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Colorado Life and Health license required; CEBS coursework is desired.
Minimum Experience: Five years in Health & Welfare Benefits, preferably with two years experience at a brokerage/consulting firm.
Technical Knowledge and Skills: Excellence in customer service, computer literacy, comfort with the internet, highly effective communication skills as well as a thorough knowledge of all health and welfare products. The successful candidate will be familiar with relevant legislation, such as COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA and Colorado State Continuation, Colorado HBs 1210 and 1353. Excellent project management skills and self-motivation are keys to success. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment.
