Duties: |
| Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders. Responsible for the protection of life and property; prevention of crime; apprehension of criminals; and provide enforcement of laws and ordinances. Duties include, but are not limited to: answer calls for service; complete appropriate and required paperwork; resolve conflict; dispense information to those who need it; communicate clearly with citizens and other law enforcement professionals; testify in court; team oriented; complete required training. Reports to Duty Sergeant (Platoon Sergeant, Court Security Sergeant, Administrative Sergeant, Transport Sergeant, etc.). |
Qualifications: |
| High School Diploma or GED. A valid Colorado driver’s license. P.O.S.T. certified level 1 peace officer. Must possess sufficient oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively. Must possess time management, organizational skills, and sound judgment. Ability to be assertive and self-motivated. 21 years of age minimum. Must have vision correctable to 20/40. United States citizen. Requires candidates to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends. |
